My Short (But Oh So Bittersweet) Relationship With the New York Yankees

The Yankees were down to the final pitch of the season...the Bronx was burning...and my short relationship with the New York Yankees came to an end. In mid-September I attended a Yankees game (only my third MLB game), and I was instantly a fan. From that point on, they were my team, mostly because I spent twenty dollars on a hat, and an investment of that magnitude guarantees my die hard support. I screamed "Hip-Hip-Jorge" and "Joba the Hut". I even hated the Red Sox, for absolutely no reason at all. But tonight it came to an end, along with Joe Torre's career. Long live the evil empire.
